Primary alcohol by volume: Wine

Served: "Straight up"; without ice
Standard garnish: orange twist
Standard drinkware: Champagne flute
Ingredients:

Preparation: Pour the orange juice into glass and top up champagne. Stir gently, garnish and serve .

Some older recipes list grenadine as an additional ingredient.

Also where real Champagne is not available or cannot be afforded, a sparkling white wine or perry is used in its place.
